Artist Statement

Painting Queen is a blessed artist who has found in visual art a way to express everything she feels—freely and without reservation.

Her work follows in the footsteps of the great masters of the Baroque and Renaissance, yet she builds a fantastical universe of her own: a world populated by characters in elaborate wigs, surreal dreams, and modern elements such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and other forms of digital currency.

Through symbolic objects, she explores both material wealth and intangible spiritual dimensions. Animals often appear in her compositions as regal beings—kings and queens of their domestic kingdoms. For Painting Queen, wigs are more than ornaments: they represent thoughts, and sometimes take on a life of their own.

Her abstract sky studies bring a sense of ethereal depth to her paintings, connecting the visible with the invisible.

With a professional background in banking and finance, her fascination with cryptocurrency and contemporary exchange systems has naturally found its way into her artistic vocabulary. In parallel, her experience as a trained lyric soprano specializing in Baroque music informs her work with layers of symbolism, theatricality, and emotional resonance that go beyond words.

Her paintings and sculptures invite the viewer into an intimate, layered dialogue—perhaps beginning over a glass of champagne in her studio.

Today, her works form part of private collections across the globe, resonating with those who, like her, believe that elegance, irony, and emotion are timeless.

BIOgraphy

Born on June 3rd, with roots in the vibrant neighbourhood of San Telmo in Buenos Aires and the serene landscapes of Lucerne, Switzerland, Painting Queen is a surrealist and baroque-inspired artist whose work blends the passionate energy of Argentina with the timeless elegance and precision of Switzerland.

At the age of 8, she began private drawing and painting lessons, an early spark that ignited her lifelong love for visual arts. Although art was always her passion, she pursued a degree in business and spent over 15 years working in banking and finance. Years later, she returned fully to her creative path, setting up her own art studio and training with renowned international mentors.

Her teachers include Olena Vavourakis (curator, dealer, and art instructor in Switzerland), Dr. Antonio García Villarán (artist and educator in Spain), and Cynthia Goldbarg (sculpture and ink specialist in Argentina).

Her work explores themes of identity, theatricality, and baroque excess through extravagant wigs, aristocratic animals, and vivid cloud studies. Combining baroque elements with pop surrealism, Painting Queen Art creates theatrical, symbolic scenes that captivate and provoke.

In 2022, she was awarded the Artistic Merit Certificate by La Pinacothèque as part of the Luxembourg Art Prize, recognizing the exceptional quality of her work.

In addition to painting, she is a lyrical soprano specializing in baroque opera, and often performs live during her exhibitions, offering a multisensory experience that merges voice and visual art.

Her artistic journey continues to evolve, driven by a vision that celebrates opulence, irony, emotional depth, and a striking aesthetic that bridges the classical and the contemporary.
